Like the Lamanites in our day, which is what this scripture prophecies of, may we be numbered among the sheep of the good shepherd. "And this is according to the prophecy, that they shall again be brought to the true knowledge, which is the knowledge of their Redeemer, and their great and true shepherd, and be numbered among his sheep" (Helaman 15:13 https://www.lds.org/

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world...Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me...And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth" (John 11:25-27, 41-44 https://www.lds.org/

May we have a reverence for children, and always remember that we are our Father in Heaven's children, and come to him as a little child in faithful prayer. "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them" (Mark 10:14-16 https://www.lds.org/

If the Savior prayed for those in the Americas, how must he pray for us? Such wonderful things have never been written. "And when he had said these words, he himself also knelt upon the earth; and behold he prayed unto the Father, and the things which he prayed cannot be written, and the multitude did bear record who heard him. And after this manner do they bear record: The eye hath never seen, neither hath the ear heard, before, so great and marvelous things as we saw and heard Jesus speak unto the Father; And no tongue can speak, neither can there be written by any man, neither can the hearts of men conceive so great and marvelous things as we both saw and heard Jesus speak; and no one can conceive of the joy which filled our souls at the time we heard him pray for us unto the Father" (3 Nephi 17:15-17 https://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/17.15-17?lang=eng#14 )

The Love of the Savior extends from before the foundations of the Earth into the eternities and beyond. It never ends. The power of his love can change our hearts, and prepare us to live in the presence of God. Our salvation is his very reason for existence. He is personal enough to know the pains in the quiet chambers of our hearts, and can help transform those into lives filled with Love. He can work miracles in all of our lives, and truly does, if we but have faith and come unto him. "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 14:6 https://www.lds.org/

What wonderful promises the Lord makes with the analogy of sheep and the Good Shepherd. "And he gathereth his children from the four quarters of the earth; and he numbereth his sheep, and they know him; and there shall be one fold and one shepherd; and he shall feed his sheep, and in him they shall find pasture" (1 Nephi 22:25 https://www.lds.org/
) and of us working in the flock, "Feed the flock of God which is among
you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly;
not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over
God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief
Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not
away" ( 1 Peter 5:2-4 https://www.lds.org/ scriptures/nt/1-pet/ 5.2-4?lang=eng#1 )

Read the promise of the Book of Mormon Online here https://www.lds.org/
The Book of Mormon is the inspired Word of God. From the title page, it
is "to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ,
the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations" Prophets were
told by God what to include in the book for us in our day. Moroni says
"Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were
present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you
unto me, and I know your doing." From the Prophet Joseph Smith “I told
the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on
earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to
God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book." Read the Book
of Mormon online here https://www.lds.org/ scriptures/bofm?lang=eng, and Mormon 8:35 https://www.lds.org/ scriptures/bofm/morm/ 8.35?lang=eng#34 )

Brigham City Celestial Room. These are sacred houses of the Lord, and he is there. What wonderful promises are given of temples in the scriptures. "And inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord...my glory shall rest upon it; Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God" (D & C 97:15-16 https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/97.15-16?lang=eng#14 )
The newest of the Bible Videos, it is of Peter arrested for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Savior showed the prophets of the Book of Mormon our day, because he knew what we would need to know. What a wonderful blessing. Said Moroni "Behold, the Lord hath shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, at that day when these things shall come forth among you. Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. From one boy's prayer came the Restoration of the Gospel in our day. It happened as Joseph said it happened. "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" (Joseph Smith-History 1:16-17 https://www.lds.org/

When we are beyond the limits of what our body and mind can handle, when we are tested beyond what we can experience, may we take comfort in knowing there is a perfect, caring, loving Savior who can comfort us and lift us; He knows the road ahead, because he has travelled it. Both in his life, and through the Atonement. He overcame it, and because he did, if we pour out our hearts to him in faith, he will lift us and help us.

The Lord is there to comfort us, strengthen us, and help us through the spirit of the Holy Ghost, in good times and bad. An inspiring piece from Conference. May we all take Hope in the Plan of our Father in Heaven, and if we endure it well great shall our reward be on high. The Lord is at the head of this great work.
"Soon the battle will be over;
Ev'ry foe of truth be down.
Onward, onward, youth of Zion;
Thy reward the victor's crown."

From this one scripture came the inspiration behind Joseph Smith's First Prayer, and the subsequent Revelations that restored the Gospel in our day. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering" (James 1:5-6 https://www.lds.org/

The ordinance of the washing of the feet. May we all seek to lift others in whatever way we can. "He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. In His Light by Greg Olsen. "Little children seem to have an inborn goodness; a simple faith and natural desire to be taught and to walk in His light. The light of Christ is given to each and it shines in their faces. It is a light that shines in a helpful conscience that teaches of right and wrong. It is a light that illuminates their path when the way grows dark. It is a light that warms their hearts and lets them know that they are loved and always in His sight." Quote by Greg Olsen. The Savior still lives today, and will come again. "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." The Testimony that the Savior Lives is one of the most important things we can come to know in this life. From the Prophet Joseph Smith "And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives! For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father— That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God." (Doctrine and Covenants 76:22-24 http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/76.22-24?lang=eng#21 )

Please take a moment to read the beautiful words of Isaiah about the Savior, for the Savior knows us, understands us, as no one ever can, and has atoned for our sins because he loves us. "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:2-5 https://www.lds.org/
scriptures/ot/isa/ 53.2-5?lang=eng#1 )
What a sacred experience when the Savior was baptized, with the presence of all of the Godhead. "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Christ Declares in Nazareth that He is the Messiah, the fulfillment of prophecy. "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." (Luke 4:16-21 https://www.lds.org/scriptures/nt/luke/4.16-21?lang=eng#15 )

Just as he loved the people of the Book of Mormon, The Savior loves us, knows our pains, trials, and is there to comfort and strengthen us. "And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying: Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world. And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come. And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did worship him" (3 Nephi 11:13-17 https://www.lds.org/

The Mount of Transfiguration. A sacred account with the Savior and some of the early apostles. The Savior is truly over all. "And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus...And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. and suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead."
