How wonderful are the words "He is not here: for he is risen" The Prophet Joseph Smith said, “And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives! “For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76:22–24 https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/76.22-24).
Oh those words that He is Risen! Those words are the declaration of our Savior's triumph over sin and death. And how wonderful is it that he has appeared to men again in this dispensation, to Joseph Smith and others, and to countless apostles and prophets in our day, who lead and guide his church.
Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, the Savior and Redeemer of all of us, and has broken the bonds of sin and death. He has made it possible to return back to the presence of our Father in Heaven, to live with him and our families forever. When there, we will help the Father and Savior with their work, bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of all.
The meaning of the word Hallelujah, loosely, is "Praise to Jehovah." and I can think of no better phrase than that. As the Prophet has said, may we live with gratitude ever in our hearts for the Savior of the World, he who has ransomed us.
And now, Conference. Elder Holland has declared that Conference Proclaims that Jesus is the Christ. For almost 2 centuries, conferences have proclaimed this, and will continue to do so. This Weekend, listen to apostles and prophets testify of Christ and his restored Gospel. You can watch on BYUTV, gc.lds.org, or see other ways to view it at https://www.lds.org/general-conference/viewing-times-and-options
