King Benjamin said to his people in a gathering very much like conference coming up: "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
The Savior has also said that "inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Elder Eyring has given added meaning to that by saying that when we give succor to others, it is the same as giving succor to the Savior himself.
The Savior knows all of the pains that his children feel. They are the only burdens that he feels now are the pains of his children. When we lift another, we lift that burden from the Savior, and it really is as if we were doing it to him.
May we ever do that in all that we do.
