"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am the life and the light of the world. I am the same who came unto mine own and mine own received me not; But verily, verily, I say unto you, that as many as receive me, to them will I give power to become the sons [and daughters] of God, even to them that believe on my name." (D & C 11:28-30 http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/11.28-30)
As we have more Faith in Christ our hearts will be changed, our desires will become more like his, and at the last day we will embrace our Savior having become like him, and what joy will fill our hearts at that time. To really feel his loving arms around us, to feel joy that we have lived our lives so that we become like him, and to gain our exaltation as we continue serving the Lord and helping others to feel of that love we have felt.
We can feel a bit of that love every day of our lives as we serve others and do the work of the Lord. And we will be able to share that love with others who don't have that in their lives. Glory be to God for this marvellous plan of salvation that we have.
Pour your hearts out to the Father in gratitude and faith, do his work, and feel of the Love of the Savior in return. For because of him, we have light in our own lives.
