Part of today's profound message comes from Simon Dewey, the artist of this painging, Grace and Truth:
"I love the Gospel of John. The opening verses of chapter one are at once poetic and sublime, simple yet profound:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” To each of us on this journey home, John’s powerful witness of the Savior remains a guide as we come to realize the reality of it for ourselves. “We beheld his glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”(John 1:14) -Simon Dewey
He who gave his life for you beckons you to come dwell with him forever. May we all live worthy so that when we see the Savior, we will be able to behold his glory, and live in his presence again. He is the Life and the Light of all. He is real, and involved in the details of our lives, as our prophet says, and if we trust in Christ, he will lead us back to our heavenly home, to live with him and our heavenly parents forever.
