What Church Leaders do to prepare for Conference and how do we prepare

On the Wednesday before General Conference, all of the church leaders and their spouses go through a session at the Salt Lake Temple.  After that, the spouses go home, and our leaders go to a room apart in the temple, and there bear testimony of the Savior, of his gospel, and his work.  From one who has been there at those sessions, the testimonies often go up to a half hour each.  they are not brief.  This is one way our leaders prepare for General Conference.

That doesn't include the time spent on prayerfully preparing talks, seeking the Lord's help over sometimes months so that they will have something for us that comes from the Lord.

How are we preparing for General Conference?  Do we prayerfully consider questions we are bringing to the conference?  Do we rely on the spirit as we are watching or listening to the speakers?

Elder Holland has said "If we teach by the spirit and you listen by the spirit, some one of us will touch on your circumstance, sending a personal prophetic epistle just to you" (An Ensign to the Nations, April 2011 General Conference).

May we all prayerfully prepare for Conference, so that we will be ready to follow the words and impressions of the spirit that come to us.
