Do we all liken the words of the Savior to Peter unto ourselves, and follow the savior's counsel to feed his sheep, by serving, loving, and helping those around us. Do we do that in our families, at home, at church, in our communities, and in all places that we are in? Remember what the Savior said to Peter:
"when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." (John 21:15-17 http://bit.ly/154kTu6)
The people around us are his sheep, some waiting to be brought back to the fold of him who would love them, care for them, and lift them so they can return to the presence of the Father. May we ever do that, and we will rejoice with them in the Father's Kingdom. There is no greater joy than to dwell with them there.
That is what we are here on earth to do. Reach out to others in love, as the Savior would if he were here. He longs for them. Feed them, and do what he would do. Commit now, and how great will be our joy then.
