Mosiah 26:30 says "Yea, and as often as my people repent will I forgive them their trespasses against me."
Do we earnestly seek the Lord when we have done wrong? We can find a peace that is beyond compare if we do.
I believe this is part of what the Savior meant when he said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Rest from our sins and trials.
As we see in the picture, the petitioner is humbly seeking the Lord, asking him for forgiveness, and to take his burden of sin.
When we make mistakes, do we petition the Lord to take our sins and burdens as well? He can and will take them, and has promised us that he would.
May we ever remember that.
