Day 5 and 6 of the 12 days of Christmas: "Glory to God in the Highest"

Day 5 and 6 of the 12 days of Christmas happened over the weekend, and I'm reporting the symbolisms of them both together today.

Day 5 we got Joseph as a piece for the nativity.  For that I'm posting this video by the Church about Joseph.  He stood by Mary and by the Savior his whole life, protecting them by heeding the Lord when he told them to go to Egypt.  We know the Savior knew the scriptures well.  He would have learned those under Joseph's tutelage, and then had them confirmed by the spirit, or his Father in Heaven's further instruction.  Joseph was the ideal parent to the literal Son of God.

Day 6 we got an angel for the nativity.  How familiar we are with the words of Luke 2;

"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. " (Luke 2:9-14)

Angels have always attended the Savior, and have been present many times to testify of him.  Part of the message we have for the world is that Christ has again appeared to his people, and angels have come again to the earth so that all the people of the earth can have the blessings promised and announced on the day of Christ's birth.

May we ever remember that.
