Together on the Sabbath or Alone during the week, he is there

In Matthew 18:20, and echoed in Doctrine and Covenants 6, we read

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

This is especially true when we need comfort, strength, and help, for In Isaiah 51:3 we read;

"For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody."

What words of comfort are here.  That he will comfort us, and that our waste places shall become like an eden.

Such a blessing to be with others in the gospel, such as at church on the Sabbath day.  May we ever strive to attend our meetings, and to make the Sabbath a holy day.

But for those times we are alone, just know you are not alone.  There is a type in the Scriptures of the Lord comforting an individual person.  Many are the examples of the Lord comforting an individual person, and the example given here is of Daniel, recorded in Daniel 10:18-19.

"Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me."

And we have the example of John 14:26, where the Holy Ghost is called a comforter, even though the scripture is speaking of how we get truth, even the name speaks of comfort.

What strength we get from meeting with the Saints, and for those times when we feel alone, we can be strengthened by the Comforter.  We can be lifted, helped, and encouraged in all things.

In closing, our Prophet, President Monson has said that the Lord is in the details of our lives.  May we ever seek him out so he can help us in our trials.

May we ever come unto him, is my prayer.
