Many years before his coming, on the American Continent, prophets there knew that Christ would come, and taught that he would take upon him the sins of the world. Amulek Testifies below;
"Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the transgressions of his people, and that he shall atone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it." - Alma 34:8
And he did. In the garden of Gethsemane, he prayed, not my will but thine be done. He sweat great drops of blood as he took upon himself our burdens, a weight which would recur on the cross.
Christ is the God over the whole earth, and he will come to those who call on his name, and he will guide you in a path back to him.
That we may ever have faith in him is my prayer.
