Nephi's vision of Christ, his mission, death, and continuation of his work

Nephi saw many things about the Life of Christ.  600 years before his birth, he saw what Christ would do.  He joins with Isaiah and other Old Testament Prophets in prophesying of the Life, Ministry, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Nephi's account;

"And he spake unto me again, saying: Look! And I looked, and I beheld the Lamb of God going forth among the children of men. And I beheld multitudes of people who were sick, and who were afflicted with all manner of diseases, and with devils and unclean spirits; and the angel spake and showed all these things unto me. And they were healed by the power of the Lamb of God; and the devils and the unclean spirits were cast out.

And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me again, saying: Look! And I looked and beheld the Lamb of God, that he was taken by the people; yea, the Son of the everlasting God was judged of the world; and I saw and bear record.

And I, Nephi, saw that he was lifted up upon the cross and slain for the sins of the world." (1 Nephi 11:31-33).

Nephi also sees the multitudes of the earth gathered together against the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and he saw the fall of all those who would fight against them.  He records,

"Thus shall be the destruction of all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, that shall fight against the twelve apostles of the Lamb." (1 Nephi 11:36).

May we be grateful for the life, mission, death, and resurrection of the Savior, and for his continuing mission, to bring all unto him.

May we be grateful for this gospel of Christ, which will never again be taken from the earth, but will continue through the Millenium, when Jesus Christ himself will reign, overseeing the work of Salvation that will culminate in his presenting the kingdom to the Father, and saying to him "The Work is Done."

May we love him, serve him, and serve others, is my prayer.  To read more of Nephi's vision, click here.
