“He is not here: for he is risen” (Matthew 28:6)
May we all be grateful for these words, spoken by a heavenly messenger 2 millenia ago. With those words, he announced the plan for our salvation and resurrection, prepared from before the foundation of the world, had been fulfilled by Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.
The center of the entire plan of our salvation was forever in place. And in addition to our Salvation and Resurrection, there is more ways we can be helped because of this. Each time we are comforted by the spirit when in trials, each time we are strengthened by the Lord, each time we reach out in service, anytime we do anything good, all of that was made possible and was announced by the words "He is Risen."
Christ's gospel is again on the earth today. The Lord whom we seek has suddenly come to his temple, and has restored the covenants to the earth long lost. He is preparing the world for his second coming, and the hearts of the children are turning to the Fathers in preparation for that day. May we ever engage in that sacred and holy work of bringing souls unto Christ is my prayer.
