The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem a fulfillment of prophecy

On the week before his his death, the Savior entered into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling the prophecy in the Old Testament which said "Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt."

He was thronged by people who had palm leaves, who greeted him by saying "Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."

So much would change during this week. This was the last time he would be so accepted, as later the Jews called for his death.  More about the last week tomorrow...
